1967 c10 11,200mi 327
I figured I would put some pictures up of the new to me truck I’ve been working on lately. Trying to decide if I’m going to keep it or sell it and put money towards finishing my shortbed 67. This truck has been interesting. I have a inspection 85’ and some shop receipts from 67’ that we’re in the truck still. Apparently original owner passed away in 85’ and his wife parked the truck. Had to chisel the rock hard weather stripping out. All rubber was rock hard. 327 4 barrel was clean inside when I pulled air cleaner and valve covers. Had oil still but diff was dry but not rusty. Confused on that one. New plugs, points, wires, alt., battery, master, brake lines, pads, wheel cylinders, windshield, rockers, cab corner, fixed few wires, getting original white walls soon, fluids, radiator, hoses and weatherstripping. Hopefully drives like a champ next week. Waiting on fuel sending unit because old on was way clogged up.

Why not fix the long bed up to drive/while you Restore the short bed.

Re: 1967 c10 11,200mi 327
Wow, still had the tag on it, that tells a lot!!! I didn't know that those carbs were on 67's...
Cliff is THE master carb guy!!! Did you plug the exh heat holes in the intake base gasket surface??? WHen you get a chance I'd like to see a couple more pictures of that bypass hose setup. I have not seen any like that. Medium duty trucks have something similar, some Corvettes were similar, I think... And I'd sure there are others, besides me wondering what the option list inside the glove box lid looks like... |

Re: 1967 c10 11,200mi 327
Very nice , I hoping to make my 67 looking as orginal as possible with it's four barrel 327 also , yours looks like a automatic, so I think that would be a 400 Turbo, man if ever posible I would love tons of pic of how things look and how parts sit in place and find out what I'm missing that I'll need. Is that power steering, power brake. Great find .

Cool find! Those labor rates are hard to believe! What's up with the AC Plugs in front of the core support ? Was it set up as a generator for power tools and such?

I’ve been working on the 5.3 for my shortbed so I forgot to post these. Sewed up my visors that opened up. Also made a seat cover out of some blankets I picked up in Mexico. Just need to pick up some thin white walls. Been putting it off trying to sell my slot mags first but I guess I’ll just buy them so I can get truck on the road.

Re: 1967 c10 11,200mi 327
Curious about the arm rests in your door panel picture.
I have identical arm rests on my 1967 step side and always assumed they were not original. I even got a set of what I think was original to the truck and have yet to install them. Your truck is pretty authentic..... so now I am wondering what arm rests came in the 67 models. |

Today I finally picked up some white walls for my longbed. They are just as cool as I imagined. My day went downhill after that when I tried to install the brake bolt on my pedal. I never realized you had to take so much stuff off to get it in. Column was in my way. Time it and make sure shoes are adjusted properly then trucks ready to drive. Also want to clean the hubcaps up some before I put them on.
