1985 v6
Is this a rare engine? One of my friends got all excited when he found out that my truck is a LB1 V6. He is a truck guy but mostly Fords (I know).

Just a carb' 4.3. Not a bad engine, but not much power for a truck unless you're just going to putt around

Re: 1985 v6
Quite a few Ford or F150 guys I knew we're really into there big I6. Plus some guys just love them, and any 6 falls into there love zone.
I had a F150 with the I6 for a minute when I had a car stolen. While perfectly fine for cruising around, and hauling junk. It found it a bit of a let down when I revved it up. |

Re: 1985 v6
The likely reason they are uncommon, is that many of them are swapped for V8s.

Re: 1985 v6
Drove my '87 for 30 years and 200,000 miles with the LB4 V6 (TBI).
