70 Chev Custom Camper & NOS Parts in PA

I have 70 Chevy 3/4 ton Custom Camper and some GM parts. The truck was purchased originally by my dad at Ammon R. Smith in York and is still in the family. It was hit in the right front years ago and I bought all the parts to fix it but the repairs were never done. The frame was straightened and driven with the damaged fender. The truck has been off the road since 1995. It has a good 350 4bbl, w/ AT.

Some of the parts I have are:
Grill - Inner/Outer
Inner Fenders
Radiator Support
Cab mounts
RF Fender
Misc lights
etc.

I sadly doubt I'll ever get around to fixing it up, so I thought I'd see if anyone in the PA area has an interest in the truck and parts. Rather then putting parts on ebay, I figured I'd list the items where the owners hang out.

If you have an interest, PM me and I can supply more info and some pictures if desired.

The truck is in York and the parts are in Allentown.

Thanks

I'd prefer to sell the truck whole unless I get enough requests for individual parts so it's worth my while to take apart.

The GM parts (purchased from a GM dealer about 10 yrs ago, does that make then NOS??) can be sold individually unless someone local is interested, then I'd sell as a package.

Since there seems to be interest, I'll post a more detailed list w/prices and pictures shortly.

It's been 33yrs since my first ride in it so there's no rush to get rid of it!

I'm close to Carlisle so if I need to deliver parts next summer, that can be done too. York, Allentown, Carlisle, I got most of the state covered!

OK, I found a bunch of NOS stuff and am working on a list and prices. I'll post it here ASAP. Is there a way to include pictures in the post? If not I'll put them on a website.

Yes, the fender is a PS. I'd have to check on shipping costs. The fender is still in the original packing an has never been removed.

I found headlight rings/bezels and some lamps to go w/the grill.

I'll get working on the list!!!

Sorry for not answering your question, it kind of got lost in the shuffle.

I'll be taking some pictures of the truck this weekend. The cab was in good shape w/ only the corners needing repair. I also think the mounting brackets on the bottom were bad too but the rest was very nice. Since it has always been family owned, it was never abused or hacked.

If no one is interested in fixing up the truck (how popular are LWB trucks???) I may resort to parting it. W/ the costs of restorations, I don't think the CustomCamper C-20 is the truck of choice. A SWB 4 speed w/AC sounds nice to me!

How many people are doing 'concourse' restorations of these trucks these days? These are the people that would be interested in my NOS parts I suspect.

I hope you can sell that truck whole! I'd be interested, but I'm a bit too far away for it Looking for a 3/4 or 1 ton pickup...

If you don't end up selling everything as a package to someone, I'm interested in that grill... mine is in really sad shape...

Are either of those locations listed close to pittsburgh... specifically Clinton Township?

OK Folks, it's about time for an update. I was in York for the holidays and took a look at the truck. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures but I should be able to post some here in a few weeks. I also found a few more parts...

Here's my game plan:

I want to get some pictures of the truck to post here ASAP. I don't want to sell the parts until I know the status of the truck. (Can you imagine finding a car/truck you want to fix up only to find out the seller -had- NOS stuff for it that he sold separately?)

I'm a car guy too and I would like see a fellow enthusiast benefit. I don't want to gouge anyone on prices but I won't sell so cheap that someone else will buy and gouge the next guy.

Sorry for the delays but the truck and parts will be sold, it's just a matter of time. I'm not a dealer and can't dedicate full time to this one project. I'd love to fix up 70 myself, but already have too many projects and not enough time.

If I have to sell the parts separately, I will honor the requests in the order I received them.

Thanks for your patience...
