I've bought a few things from them, really nice people to deal with. I think they are located close to K.C. Mo. Raytown?? I think. I saw them at the Street Machine Nationals in Springfield.

I was checking out some of their prices, they look cheaper on some things (like stainless steelbedstrips) than at least one of the other vendors.

I have bought a few things from them. Was going to buy a new headliner from him and he told me he had some real nice used ones that were a lot cheaper. All I had to do was change the color.

Yep, about 10mins from my house. Manes is real nice and very knowledgeable. One of the nice things about living in the KC area...we got three good parts houses for new and NOS parts: Manes, Chevy Duty and Jim Carter. Problem is, I generally don't want to pay retail and shop used.

i have purchased quite a few new and used items there. great selection of used items. they let you wander around and look at racks of parts, organized neatly. best of all, if it does not work or you end up not needing it, you can return it no problem. great to deal with.

I think that Manes policy on used or reconditiond parts is "no refunds" even if they screwed up and sold you parts that have major problems.

But they have good prices on some parts.

Bucket,

You really returned used items after purchase, and they were ok with it?? I have tried a couple of times, and they said "no" They even have a sign by their cash register that says "no refunds on used parts"

Hey, I wasn't calling B.S. on you. (Sorry, I should have explained myself better). I just had a bad experience with him and will bad mouth his business whenever I get a chance.

i returned a shift handle from a 4 speed tranny just this summer. i explained that I ended up welding up my worn one. he said "no problem. I don't want anyone to be stuck something they don't need"....or something to that effect. maybe his policy has changed? anyway, he's not paying me so i won't defend him anymore. :p

slammed.....apology accepted
