NV3500 and Low Hump
Has anyone successfully put a NV3500 under a low hump and got the pinion angle correct? I have a 71 C10 and I am running dingo mounts and a 99+ NV3500. A big deciding factor for me on 5.3/NV4500 and 4.8/NV3500 was to avoid a high hump so I am hoping I can squeeze it in. I have read many conflicting threads and have not seen a full thread on a NV3500 install into a 67-72. Thanks.

Re: NV3500 and Low Hump
It would not fit on my 62. I think the 67-72 are close to the same floorpan. The only thing i would suggest would be to try and see what your angles are. Maybe if you do not care to hammer your tunnel lip flat?

Re: NV3500 and Low Hump
I should have asked this question a long time ago but I read on a thread that it fits no problem. Since then I have been reading more that it won't go. I am not opposed to massaging the firewall or cutting a bit extra out in the tunnel. Did you leave the shift tower/foam part on as seen in this pic when you installed yours or is it easier without?

Re: NV3500 and Low Hump
This is really the only picture I have of mine. I plan on using the foam pad but it is not neccesary for use.

Re: NV3500 and Low Hump
Those are good. Hope someone chimes in that was able to do this on a 67-72. Looks like I at least need the big hammer where the firewall/hump meet but hope it clearances underneath too so I can push the back of the trans high enough to set the pinion angle. Doesn't help I have dingo sliders that are 1/2" higher than most mounts.
