New LS Standalone Harness

Not sure if this was allowed, and I do not endorse nor work for these sellers, but I was looking on eBay for a 5.3 standalone harness or rework, and all of the new harnesses look exactly the same, and sell for $349 + or so. Figuring that they all came from China, I hoped on Alibaba and did a little searching and chatting. Turns out there is only one manufacture in China that makes this harness, and they sell to everyone that carries it. When I asked about pricing, she told me $268 shipped for 1, or if I order 10 or more, the price goes to $240. She did say that she can customize the harness to any spec I wanted, whether that was added or removing sensors or trans and lengthen/shorten the ECM leads. So I ordered one for $268, figuring I will save about $100 vs eBay. I will do a review on it when I receive it.

Anyways, here is a link if anyone is interested:

Re: New LS Standalone Harness

Its a blue/red harness so its set for the early stuff on 411 pcms. Thats probably why its got the "DBC only" note. Wiring and connector need to be modded to work on the blue/green (late 02+) ECM's but will lack DBW control. If your using a cable setup, then be aware that some of the later GenIII Ecm's lacked IAC control to to DBC.

I may also be missing it, but in the pics it appears there is only a single ISS on the harness, meaning its setup for a 4l60e.

MFG doesn't show wire type either. TXL? GXL? Non rated? You have to be cautious with longevity of cheap wiring. Ask anyone who's bought an imported trailer lol.

Re: New LS Standalone Harness

I ordered for an LM7 with drive by cable and a 4l60e. My old harness was so brittle that taking the chance on this is worth it to me. Worse case is I have to buy a new year or two.

I know this is an older post, but any ecu that is capable of DBC can also do DBW . It's the Late DBW units that may not have Dbc circuitry

Re: New LS Standalone Harness

Let us know how it looks when you get it. Its not that we don't want it to work; its that we've chased enough crazy wiring for a lifetime lol.

Re: New LS Standalone Harness

I ordered a DBW harness from them and attempted to get it with the EV6 (08 and up)injector plugs.

It showed up with the wrong plugs, (99-06) and poor solder connections.
They ended up sending me the correct pig tails, but the harness still does not work.

I've started pulling off all of the loom to do some trouble shooting.

You're better off modding an original if you want to be cheap

Re: New LS Standalone Harness

So the guys who received said harness- I have a project in the works- 1989 K1500 with 24X LS conversion set up on SBC that has been waiting. I do have a 1999 truck harness or...pick this harness up. Or does anybody have a lead on a repin service?

What did you do to solve this problem?

The 2 large ground wires that had heat shrink were not crimped properly. Redid them and then it was all good after that.

My supplied directions that came with the harness look exactly like the PSI stuff. Even how the wires were zip tied and loomed together.

Other than that, zero issues. I ordered 4 more harnesses for my other projects.

Re: New LS Standalone Harness

I emailed them with my engine specs, interested to see what they come up with. They say most aftermarket sheet metal comes from only 1-2 places overseas so maybe the same holds true for aftermarket wiring harnesses?

Super fast reply, very knowledgeable and clearly understood my specs (i.e., 24x, DBW, EV6, etc.). Quoted me $180 plus shipping. Too good to be true? Maybe I’ll wait and see what the OP comes up with.

The instructions are better than what I have gotten in the past when sending my harness out to get modified. I will post some pictures of the instructions here soon.

Re: New LS Standalone Harness

So I got the harness in today, and I am happy with it so far. It will be about a month of so before I am ready to test the harness, but here are some pictures.
