Let’s see those Two tone 22” transit wheels.
I have a set of transits that I’m going to install shortly on my bagged 67 short box that is satin black at this time.
Has anyone two toned the steel rims? I am thinking I would like to paint the inner portion red, and the outer portion white. Thinking that it would look like red rims with whitewall tires.

Re: Let’s see those Two tone 22” transit wheels.
I am going to do something similar. There are many people with mixed feelings (opinions) about transit wheels but I got a set nevertheless. I read a bunch of threads about them and really the only thing I’m unsure about is the 22” diameter. I’d like it better if they were 20” but whatever.
I don’t have any pics yet but I’m in the process of flipping the centers in the rear for a better offset. My current plan is to do the centers black and about a 1” white stripe near the tire for that white wall look. I’m also considering just polishing a bare steel stripe where that white strip would be but I’ve never polish regular old steel before. Not sure how that would turn out. I saved a pic a while back that I liked of a truck that had my plan and was for sale. |

That looks great. This makes me want to two tone and them even more now.
