Chrome Plating

Hi All,

Not sure if this thread is in the right place or not, if its not please move to the right spot. If this violates any rules I did not mean too...my intentions are to let folks know of a good chrome plater....I do not receive any monetary or special pricing because of this thread...I know other members here have used these folks.....its where I got their name from....

Recently I had some items Chrome plated at Electroplating of El Paso. I know its hard to find quality platers and most want 3 arms and 2 legs to plate things.

The folks there did a great job on my chrome...the very few issues I had they took care of them no problem at all....Some of the pictures may be hard to see but hopefully you get the idea of what they plated for me...

One example is the C60 Grille I had chromed...cost me 383.00....that is 1200.00 cheaper than I could find anywhere else.

Re: Chrome Plating

That is great John!

I have had a very hard time finding chrome platers, some were fast( poor quality, others wanted the body parts I’m way too fond of, like you.

I have a question about your sail panels, alumined chromed? Were they real nice? I’m thinking about finding some better SP’s, mine isn’t even driver quality.

Clyde...I had several aluminum pieces plated...Sail Panels, The hood Park Lamp Bezels, The Rear Tail Light Bezels etc....All of it looked great...There was an issue with a couple of pieces but I contacted Ruben and he took care of it right away.....My sail panels were the original ones that I had chromes
d...I also had several other pieces chromed...horn ring and button, head lamp bezels etc.

These parts they chromed are great...are they perfect? No but the very minor imperfections you have to look at the right light at a certain angle etc....

I was quoted 275.00 ea for the head lamp bezels, 1500.00 for the grille, plus 200,00 for the sail panels, 175.00 ea for the park and tail lamp bezels etc.....

El Paso Plating did all of this for less than 1000.00......so I can deal with the very little things...I guess its kinda like a paint job....you can pay 20k + for a nice flawless paint job....10 k for a less than flawless or like me...paint it yourself...lol As they say...how nice can you afford to go.

There is about a 2 week turn around depending on how busy they are

John...those are awesome. I am definitely going to use them when I get to that point. Got to save my pennies for a big truck grille!
