4-6 drop and exhaust

Any problems with the exhaust being run under the trans crossmember with a 4-6 drop?

Re: 4-6 drop and exhaust

I'm a little lower than that and my setup was run below the xmember (until I could built a raised one). Its fine most of the time, but running it above would gain ~3" of clearance that would be nice to have.

Also, if you run it below you can juuuust about see it from the side of the truck.

Have it up and over right now but worried about the fuel line is about 1.5 inc away from it and the trans cooler lines. Thought about useing some heat sleeves on the lines. Thoughts on this?

I would keep it above the x-member & wrap the exhaust pipe where it's close to the fluid lines along w/wrapping the fluid lines where they're close to a heat source.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

DEI heatshield products work on my dually. I wrapped my airlines & fuel lines where they run in close proximity to my exhaust. Their exhaust wrap is commonly used for turbo apps....
