HAVE A USED PAIR AS WELL. Used set is $300. They are very nice
This is a pair of NOS Hickey step pockets. I had the gaskets(one is torn) and template as well as the hardware. $500 not including shipping Deluxe 60-65 Apache steering wheel has been sold

Curious what makes the side steps Hickey, is it stamped on them somewhere?

Same exact pockets that have been on every Hickey equipped truck I have seen and identical to the one shown in the catalog. These are just cast with the patent number. Hickey didn't put their name on every item they sold. I think around the late 70s early 80s Hickey started putting their names on more items.

I got mine from Dick Cepek way back then. Chevy sold them as GM accessories, too. So since none got stamped with an ID they can be called Hickey if desired. But other people sold a lot of the exact same items, made by someone else, that Hickey sold. Thing is, there's no craze for the other stuff like there is for Hickey. I had a console Hickey sold as well as a roll bar, skid plates, and a spare tire/jerry can carrier on a '72 Blazer years ago. All the same as Hickey. It all can from Desert Dynamics, a lesser known outfit like Hickey.

Not trying to hurt the sale or hijack the thread. Hoping to help. An educated buyer is what you need with collectible parts.

I am real familiar with most of the other off road companies that were making stuff at the time. I have catalogs from Dick Cepek, Desert Dynamics, Con Ferr, Hickey etc. These are identical to my set that came off of a fully Hickey equipped 1974 short bed. I purchased all of the parts from a guy that his granddad did the dealer installs for Hickey BITD. The owner of the truck was making it into a 2wd . I tried talking him into selling me the whole truck and letting me find him a 1975 and earlier shortbed 2wd but it was a no go!
