65 Turn Signal Switch

Hey everyone,

New to the forums and starting to work on my new toy. A 65 C10 Short Bed Stepside. My first project is to get turn signals and brake lights so it's legal to drive.

However, I am hoping someone can help me identify what turn signal switch I have. I tried to attach a picture of what I took out and what I thought was the replacement.

Basically, they look very similar but the holes do not line up when I install it on the steering column. When I looked at them I noticed the hole near the turn signal leaver on the original is below the turn signal lever and in the new one it is above. While the other two holes look close when you try to line them up there is just no way of getting the holes to all align.

So I am wondering if the previous owner(s) had swapped the steering columns at some point. Does any one recognize the original turn signal switch from the picture? Thanks for any help!!

Rich
