66 c10 Starter Wiring

Where do the 2 starter wires penetrate the firewall?

the rear tail light harness from the dash comes out this hole down the firewall and runs back to the rear of the truck.

Nothing very specific
Hoping someone could point on the firewall with a pix

This photo should help what i need

1. Dark blue is oil sender - not using
2. Light green alt water temp - not using
3. White - tach
4. Pink - Ignition coil feed
5. Brown - alternator ignition

From starter

6. Purple - from starter (solenoid)
7. Red - 12 volt battery
8. Big red - alternator

If you are not using an hei then the white wire would go to the coil, the pink would eventually get there after it goes through the ballast resistor.

Worth mentioning I have never used this harness, I'm going off the diagram you posted.

i think the brown "alternator ignition" wire goes to the alternator itself.
the small red paired with the solenoid purple goes to the dash harness.
yet i havent figured where thru the firewall it goes.

help
