71 K10 short bed find
Found this four leaf clover locally. A 71 K10 short bed fleet side. The previous owner removed the body, blasted and painted the frame. The engine, transmission and transfer case were freshened up a few years ago. Needs outer rockers and cab supports. The floor is solid and the firewall , windshield frame and bed are rust free.
Maybe a bit of the luck of the Irish?

Thanks B.B. |

Real nice. You just bought the truck I would love to find. All the way down to the dark olive green and the year. Put in the black scroll interior and call it perfect. Or maybe the dark saddle. Decisions, decisions.

Unicorns and 4 leaf clovers do exist. Nice find and looks to be a extremely solid foundation.

Re: 71 K10 short bed find
I probably paid too much but I couldn't pass up a K10 shortie. It will get restored to the SPID with parchment interior. However it just might get a Parchment White Cheyenne Super Houndstooth seat cover from Truck World.

Well anymore I think everyone's having to pay more than they think they probably should on short bed 4X4's but the markets just in to high demand with to view good examples.

That is the one I would have paid out of my comfort zone for too. Enjoy.

Re: 71 K10 short bed find
You found it! I'm about 90% sure that's the same truck I came across in Woodland Park about 20 years ago. I was in the middle of purchasing my house and couldn't pursue it at the time. Always hoped I would run into it again.....
Enjoy! Steve weim55 Colorado |

Very nice find! short bed 4x4's are hard to find. Not a ton of options but the ones that are there are good ones!

Re: 71 K10 short bed find
Thanks guys! It appears to be a two owner truck. Steve weim55 it has a very old KILO radio sticker on the driver's wing window so it appears to have spent some time in the Colorado Springs area.

Nice find! I would kill for that clean of a truck. They all just rot out here in southern Illinois.
