Stupid lights!!!

STupid.....LighTS!!!
Does anybody know if there is a main ground for the turn signals and dash lights inside the cab on a 71 chevy halft ton? when i turn on my left turn signals they work fine, when i turn on my 4 ways they work fine, but when i turn on the right side both lights in back blink the front left side marker light blinks and all the dash lights blink I've replaced the turn signal switch, the light switch and pulled off the rear wiring harness and there aren't any faults. I've figured out that the rear left turn signal is blinking through the brown wire which is lights???? Any ideas ???? HELP!!! oh yea and you've seen this post in the parts board thats my bust, I'm a newbie

I think there is a black ground wire with a clip that slides onto a piece of sheetmetal under the dash. Make sure the bed has a good ground to the frame and the headlight switch is grounded to the dash. There is an external star lock washer that goes under the nut that retains the headlight switch.

Did you replace the flasher, and check ALL the bulbs- especially any that are not working?

I've torn all the wires basically out from underneath the dash. What i get is that the wires that go into the firewall to go to the rear is the dark green should be the only one flashing with right turn signal on, but i get the brown which is the running lights circuit flashes too. I traced the brown wire back and it runs into the headlight switch. I disconnected that there and the damn lights still blink!!! Is there some type of ground that is on the fuse block. I took off the fuse block and looked at the back of it but it looked like all plastic. I then followed the only black wire i could see coming off the back of the fuse panel to right above the old regualator. I cleaned that off but still i get all the problems. The other guy mentioned about the little clip behind the dash on the metal i seen that and all the wires look kosher. I'm pretty much running out of ideas. I've checked all the grounds on the back and there all good. Anybody else got any ideas??

Try changing your flasher relay, that could be the problem.

Flasher relay? I've found out with my multimeter that i'm getting continuity from the flasher out socket on the fuse box to the dashlight power wire going into the fuse box. How this is happening i have no damned clue. All the wires look good as in no frays or nothing. As in the flasher realy are you talking about the flasher in itself?
