Brake pedal ratio
Hi, I am assuming the brake pedal is the same in 67-72,
Saying that, does anyone know the ratio on the brake pedal? With the big curve in the pedal I am having a difficult time getting a good measurement to do the division to come up with the right ratio. Hoping one of you have been through this and you already know the ratio. Thank you |

Manual brakes is 6 to 1.
Power is 4.5 to 1. |

Lastly, the curve doesn’t matter, because the pedal swings in an arc and the points follow that trajectory.
Measure from the pivot point to the center of the brake pedal pad in a straight line. Make a second unique measurement from the pivot point to the brake rod attaching pin in a different straight line. Those are your two numbers. K

The drawing from Keith will help I understand the measuring and the division but the curve was throwing me. I'm using the stock brake pedal with a Wilwood non power master cylinder, C6 Corvette disc brakes all the way around, Wilwood wants to know the pedal ratio so they can give me the right master cylinder with the right bore size thanks for the input from everybody.

You can also calculate the pedal ratio = pedal travel / master cylinder stroke, if that is easier.
