Aftermarket grill support panel
Which after market grill support panel fits the best? Metal guy and body shops I check with said buy a new one. Cost more to fix mine.
Also looking for rear upper shock mounts, the ones on my 1972 GMC K2500 will fit my 1964 C30. Holes are already in the frame.

Re: Aftermarket grill support panel
I shopped around for a good used one. I hadn't heard much good about the AM or re popped ones from poor fitment to thinner metal. Didn't feel like taking a chance with having to do a bunch of body work to get it to fit.
My old one was fixable but probably like yours, rotten at the mounting points. Seems that the battery acid got down there and sat. I think the cost of fixing the original might have been the same or less money than "adjusting" a new one to fit when I was looking into it.

Re: Aftermarket grill support panel
I would think that it would cost about the same to fix that original that it would be to buy an aftermarket grill panel and then possibly have to rework it to fit. There is no guarantee that an aftermarket grill panel will bolt up without having to rework it.
To fix your original grill panel, I would find another to donate that section that is damaged, cut and weld.
