Boese
I've bought a few items from Boese and have been very satisfied. If you are talking about the plastic reproduction bezel, you may find it cheaper elswhere. If you are talking about the billet aluminum insert (like this), I love it.

I'm referring to the stock-looking dash bezel. Their website has them listed for $ 40.00

Bezels
Try Rick's Pickup Parts. They are like $25 or $30. He's a board member.

No opinions? From a relatively opinionated bunch I would have expected at least one or two? Surely someone here has used an aftermarket dash bezel? And either likes it or doesn't.

Thanks man,
I appreciate the info. I just couldn't understand why no one was posting any replies. I guess maybe I'm just too new here and no one really knows me. It seems like alot of you guys know each other fairly well. At least well enough to tease each other. Maybe not like really know each other. But know each other because you have spent alot of time reading and posting messages to each other. So you kind-of "feel" like you know each other. This whole "Message Board" thing is still pretty new to me. I like it though. I "check-in" to read new posts several times a day. |

cuz
There have been a lot of threads on the instrument bezels, so folks are probably tired of talking about them - it's not personal (as far as I know). Hit the search button and type in dash insert.
good luck, Scott

I tried the search before I started this thread. Didn't see anything that mentioned peoples' satisfaction with the afttermarket bezels' quality/fit/durability. I also looked at the review board. I have been reading posts here for quite a while and I cannot figure-out why some posts generate an unbelievable amount of responses and others seem to be ignored. There seems to be no real rhyme or reason to it- I am still hooked, though!

Thanks for the welcome! By the way, the chrome bezel looks really good! It just won't really work for me. I guess I just prefer the stock look. It's just a personal preference. Not that I don't like the custom stuff. I just don't like a whole lot of it. The funny thing is that the older I get, the more I seem to lean towards "stock" (does this mean I am turning into my father?)Scary!
Anyway, this is still fun! And all of you guys seem like good guys to me! |

I've always used new aftermarket bezels. I get mine from Kenny's Chevy Trucks for 30 or 40 depending on his mood that day. Never had a single complaint about them. Money well spent, makes the dash really pop.
Welcome aboard. Just be patient, I'll find something to hack on you about.

It may seem hit or miss with post responses but after a few years you're less inclined to check out ones with subjects your overly familiar with.
Try sexing it up...next time use a subject like " Bastard ricers said our aftermarket bezels are shoddy and cheap looking!(whats your opinion?) This is sure to generate hits! lol Welcome to the board Terry. PS if Rat-at-tach invites you to a private chat room, unplug your computer!

They are a difference in dash bezels with the black on them. They are one type out there that don't look as good. I do not carry them anymore at all. If you are interested in one(the nicer ones) I will sell you one for $30.00 + shipping. Thanks Tim

I haven't bought one from any of the vendors here, but I pretty much guarantee you'll be satisfied with anything they sell. Let us know what you get and where, I need to get one myself, but it's pretty low on hte list right now.

I can't speak for tim other than what I have heard...which is all good. And if he says there are better ones, and he has the I'd take his word.
I CAN say though, that Rick's has them for 25 bucks, and while fitment is not 100% perfect...it is d@mn close and a great deal. I have bought 3 or 4 from him so far. |

I have both styles (all chrome and black w/ chrome either one for $25.00) and if for some reason you aren't happy w/ the item, I will refund the price of the part and your initial shipping charges.
And I also have the clear tail lens sets for 20.00 (includes the 2 tail lenses, 2 red 1157 bulbs, and the 2 gaskets) Shawn Last edited by rickspickuppart; 11-27-2003 at 03:58 AM. |
