48 Cab Louvers Prep for Paint
Anyone have any advice to get can find/ louvers straight and ready for paint? I’m thinking wood paint sticks, pliers with electrical tape etc, but figured someone out there has better tricks to get louvers looking pretty even.

Great idea on sheet metal vice grips. I don’t have any pics right now. I have the truck ins storage and the few pics I have don’t show the louvers very well, but I don’t think they are bad

There is another "plier" that would work even better a "seamer."
And they have offset ones if those don't fit in there. https://www.northerntool.com/shop/to...SABEgKC0_D_BwE http://www.leevalley.com/us/wood/pag...=1,43456,43407 I have to tell you guys, these suckers are REALLY good tools to have around the garage, they come in handy. Brian

If you have the door off you can reach them from both sides if you have to but I like their ideas.

Re: 48 Cab Louvers Prep for Paint
Note how mine was prepped for paint. Ditto for the cowl vent too:

Re: 48 Cab Louvers Prep for Paint
I removed my louvers when I sectioned the cab. But the cowl vent, omg I HAVE TO have a cowl vent, always enjoyed it when I drove the truck years ago.

Re: 48 Cab Louvers Prep for Paint
Yeah, I've gotta blame the previous owner for smoothing that cowl.
