Rochester B woes....
In an earlier thread I asked about the bowl to horn bolts loosening...I have a new problem....
I torqued the bolts to 70 in-lbs a few days ago - checked them yesterday and they needed a bit more torquing to get them to 70 in-lbs...but...one bolt stripped before it got to 70 in-lbs. I assume the bowl threads are what stripped - should I have heli-coils put in the bowl bolt holes, or should I (hopefully) find an NOS bowl?

Re: Rochester B woes....
If you don't mind having a nut showing instead of a screw head, you could put a stud in that hole with JB Weld to fix it in place. There may be a couple of threads that aren't stripped near the bottom of that hole that would also help fix it in place.

Re: Rochester B woes....
A threaded stud slathered up with JB Weld in the carb body with a nut holding the horn would be a heckuva lot simpler than a heli-coil! Thanks!
