After 5 years
After 5 years and 4 donor cabs, countless hours and errors it’s finally rust free and starting to look the part. Huge mistake taking on a rusted out junk yard dog but it’s on the slow road to a test drive.

Re: After 5 years
Look at it this way, you saved what was otherwise lost forever. But.... yeah... its so much nicer to start with a clean cab. Hindsight truly is 20/20.

It looks good, and now you know it's done right.
Congrats on the hard work.

Re: After 5 years
I admire the skill it takes to attempt that. You should be very proud of what you've accomplished so far.

Re: After 5 years
LOL, I feel the pain. I was just thinking the other day how I would buy a new cab if they made one. I just keep cutting and welding...one day it will be done. Seems to never end on the cab.
Congrats on getting over the hump.

Re: After 5 years
Thanks all, it was a huge undertaking I even removed all the rivets from the frame and sandblasted all the pieces then por 15 it all. Labor of love these trucks are getting harder to find at a decent price.
