'60-'62 Front Shock Bracket
In the past week or so, I have had 2 people email me and ask if I make a front upper shock bracket for the '60-'62 frames. Apparently when swapping the '73-'87 front suspension under a '60-'62 frame, there is an interference with the top of the shocks, the upper control arm shaft and the stock shock bracket. Not having done this to a '60-'62 frame, I am at a loss. I searched and did not find any mention of this issue here on the forum. Have members here experienced this issue? And is there a need for a shock bracket to correct this issue?

Re: '60-'62 Front Shock Bracket
I think I'm on at least 4 years gone by and still haven't done my newer front end swap on my 62 frame.

Re: '60-'62 Front Shock Bracket
I got a pic of a 57 chevy pickup with a Volare clip torsion bar with bags. Remind me I will dig up. The volare clip was done in 80s to do what my 62 did stock.

Re: '60-'62 Front Shock Bracket
I used a thin cut off wheel removed stock bracket and bolted it back on in new location.

Re: '60-'62 Front Shock Bracket
That's what I did on my 1960 as well. I removed the stock bracket with a new Dremel cut off wheel, moved it back several inches until everything fit correctly, drilled new holes and bolted it back on with grade 8 bolts. It's been in place for over 10 years now working perfectly.
