I saw in a previous post that A1 Electric power window kits are a good way to go. If anyone disagrees please let me know. I am considering the window kit, and their power lock kit for my 77 Cheyenne.
Has anyone used their power lock kit? Is there another one that's better. I am not looking for a cheap kit, I am looking for top quality parts at a fair price...A1 Electric

That's the one both myself and DanoDMano have used. I have had it installed for almost two years now and they work perfect. It's a good kit overall.

What switches did you use? I want to use OEM switches in stock door panels.

Did you wire it where one door opens the other? I don't think I like it that way. I plan to install an alarm with a remote that will unlock the doors.

Any pro's or cons' on this...?

I just installed this kit. I got it with the keyless entry so I didnt wire any switches to it. The relay it comes with is the "one door unlocks the other" type but maybe you can ask them for a different one. Anyway, it's a good kit as far as I can tell not hard to wire or anything and the keyless entry has an output for alarms and parklights to blink and I think a horn output too. I'd go with A1 again. I used the central MES kit that locks them both at the same time, but you can wire everything up just like you would a regular system if you know how to do it. It's not very hard to do, and if you are going to use an alarm too, then just forget about the switches and use the keyless feature on the alarm to operate the door locks. You can clean up the panels a bit if you do it that way, or just wire them up with two seperate relays. The reason the MES kit operates them both is because they operate off of the same relay. You can do it, I have faith.

The A1 kit is one of the best improvements I have done to my truck. Their Tech support is as their name says: A1
