Trim clips

Another question, new to the rebuild process. I've got factory trim piece clips that are metal. How do I remove them? Could I grind them off to replace them? Any suggestions or advice would help!! Thank you

There either should be a nut on the back of the clip or you squeeze the clip together on the back side of the panel, then push it out. Spray a little penetrating oil on them. They come out easier then. I would try and save them. The reproduction clips that I bought with the repro trim I put on the '71 k10 when I rebuilt it did not work well. I ended up scrounging up enough originals to put it on. That's been a few years ago so maybe they have corrected the problem.
