56 Chevy step-side for sale

Well... as much as I hate to do it, I finally have to part with my 56 after owning it for many years. I've had it since 1991 and have been SLOWLY, restoring it, but now I must sell it. I just don't drive it often enough to justify keeping it and I have too many other projects on my plate, so this one must go!

Here's what I'm offering:
• 56 step-side, small back window (with 57 hood)
• Body is solid with almost no rust (just a few small spots here and there).
• Was painted about 15-years ago but paint is showing its age now.
• Running gear:
o 350 SBC with mild cam, otherwise pretty stock
o Holly 650CFM (recently rebuilt to perfection) / performer intake
o Shorty /” hot-rod” headers with 2.5” full length-dual exhaust (flow-master triple-baffles)
o Mallory HEI distributor kit
o 4L60 (non-electronic)
o 12-bolt (with 410 gears)
• Front power disk brakes (with 6-lug pattern)
• 15” BF Goodrich TAs with original 5.5 6-lug pattern all around (60s in front/50s in rear)
• Original straight axle: no chopped frame/front clip
• 60/40 power bench seat
• Dual, custom power mirrors
• Electronic door locks (with keyless remote via Viper alarm system)
• Replacement, cross-flow radiator
• Overload leaf spring (heavy half) /air shocks
• Heavy -duty Bed-liner coating on inside walls, back of bed and inside of tailgate
• 1-piece heavy-duty rubber bed mat
• Dual battery isolator (for second battery option) (currently only running 1 battery)

Here’s what I have for parts (which MAY or MAY NOT go with it depending on the offer):
• Power steering conversion kit…complete with new larger sized replacement Drag Link, correct gear box, pump, brackets, etc.
• Replacement steering column with tilt but without ignition key/lock
• Complete front-runner kit in polished aluminum finish. Includes all accessories needed.
• Aftermarket AC kit…complete. (Replacement heater core is already installed). Includes OEM replacement heater/AC control lever for dash, custom molded kick panels with AC vents, center vents, compressor, condensor (already installed), and all other components required.
• Dakota digital gauge cluster with required sensor for speedo connection to 4L60
• Lot’s of other misc. parts too numerous to list

Here’s what’s wrong with it and/or what it needs:
• I’m currently running a 3-speed floor shifter (awaiting the installation of the new column/shifter) and with the 4L60, the gears on the trans don’t align with the shifter points, such that you need to feel for the gears when shifting. (I’m used to it, but it’s kinda funky if you’re not.)
• Wood in the bed was replaced about 15 + years ago but will soon need to be replaced again.
• No carpet installed (I recommend installation of dyna-mat or other such sound deadening material as well)
• Tires are old and will need to be replaced

It’s a good solid driver and I would not hesitate to take it on a long road trip tomorrow. That being said, it’s a 63-year old truck and so it does not come with a warranty/guarantee.

That’s about it! I will entertain reasonable offers as I am motivated to sell it, but I’m not in such a hurry that I have to take a “sacrifice” deal either.
I’m negotiable on price based on what added parts will be included.

Please help me find a good home for my truck as I would love to see it in its finished state (something that unfortunately I will not have time to do).

If you PM me I can provide additional photos, details, history, etc.

Thanks,
David
