Recently I got new to me valve covers and I am in need of a grommet. The small 1 inch one not the bigger inch and a quarter. So I cant use the breather that I had. Would it be OK to not have the breather just of a little while. I still have the pcv valve Hooked up.that grommet was still good.

you will get dirt in the motor leaving the breather hole open.

I put tape over the hole.

No breather? Or just the valve cover pcv hanging out.

The pcv valve is hooked up on the driver side. The passager side has nothing in the hole. No breather or valve. I put some tape over the hole for now. But I was wondering if it would be ok to run like this until I get a new grommet and breather.

I figured out a temporary fix. I used part of a shop towel and some tape. It can now breath and keep some dirt out.
