1967 GMC K10 #100 Off Assembly Line
I picked up this truck mid winter from Washington. I literally picked it up and parked it in storage. It is a running and driving truck. Here are the things I know about the truck. It is number 100 off the assembly line, it does not have a SPID and it never did. many of the GMC trucks that came off the assembly line early on did not have SPID stickers from what I have read and researched.
1/2 ton 4x4 327 V8 motor Manual shift I believe Rockwell transfer case Has Selecto hubs which I do not believe are stock The vin plate codes the truck out as follows: Vin is KM1590DZC1100A Vin breakdown K=4wd M=V6 1=1/2 ton 59=longbed 0D=wideside Z=Fremont C=1967 1100=100 since they started at 1001 was first truck A= under 6000 GVW The truck has a 327 motor installed in it now not the original V6. The P.O. did not know the history of when it was installed. When I got there the truck needed to be jump started, it fired right up. I noticed that the clutch engages about two inches off the floor. I drove it onto the trailer and it started on its own when I got back to Idaho to get it off the trailer. The pictures all of the pictures the P.O. gave me before I bought it. I can get pictures of anything you would need since the storage lot is just around the corner from my house. I am selling this truck because I feel it deserves a full restoration with such a low number off the assembly line. Also being a GMC and the low numbers that were produced and the lack of documentation on production numbers makes it a mystery. Thought I would give someone here on the forum a chance before listing on Craigslist or Marketplace. Not interested in trades already have 7 other trucks and one more on the way Asking price $5500

Re: 1967 GMC K10 #100 Off Assembly Line
...Except...
Chevrolet had their own VIN sequence and there were about 9 times as many Chevrolet's built as GMC. So that would take this truck and push it later in the total build sequence. Since each final assembly location (five or six of them, with Flint or Pontiac typically being the "lead" plant) also counted up independent of each other, you could probably reasonably say "this is around the 100th GMC produced at the Fremont plant" or some such thing. Posts 9 - 17 of this thread (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=591402) give a bit more detail of how it works. K
