Look what I found under the valve covers!
I am trying to find the source of a miss that just showed up on my Blazer. I cleaned & gapped the plugs, new wires, cap rotor and it's still there...
I pulled the valve covers to see if maybe a rocker arm fell off and found this! I still have the miss for the moment, but am feeling a bit better about the power plant!

Sweet!
Kind of makes you want to pull the intake, to look for more cool roller stuff, eh? |

Apparently a PO had more money than brains. NP
Try opening the hood with the engine running after dark to check for crossfire. |

Re: Look what I found under the valve covers!
Sounds like the surprise I found in a 350 small block I found for $300. When I opened it I found a new crank/cam/pistons along with all the visible parts turned out to be a 71 /350/ 4 bolt and after a little clean up I'm happy with it .

Those rocker arms look to be Harland Sharp brand, some of the very best roller rockers!!!

Found the miss!
I swapped distributors and it went away - the points were getting worn out. Gonna have to find an HEI dist eventually...

Re: Look what I found under the valve covers!
Nice find! It's incredible that the PO spent the money for the roller rockers but not an HEI?

Another scenario is " Let's throw together an engine out of those used race car parts"
