One piece side windows revisited
This topic has been touch on a couple of times, but I'm throwing it out there again. I've got my doors completely stripped down and am defintely going with electric windows, but would like to have more info and one piece glass kits from Brothers, ECE, etc. Pros and Cons. Anybody been down this road? Danny

Here is the link to A-1, which everyone seems to like very well by the way. These are what I hope to put in one of these days.

I installed A-1 power windows with the 1-piece windows from Brothers and it looks great, BUT ....
The glass "wiggles" a lot unless it's only rolled down 3 inches or rolled up 3 inches, not much support in the middle Also, the power window motors are not very strong and may hang, especially with new rubber -- so you have to help it at times Finally, since your doors are already gutted -- it's a pretty simple install using existing door hardware. If you have any specific questions let me know Ev

Something is wrong with your install if the windows are hanging. It sounds like your door catches are putting pressure on the front channel and causing the binding, not the motors. The A-1 kit is the same one I used and everything is perfect. Everything works super smooth with no troubles ever. I'd check your install over again. And my windows don't rattle either, and they never have. When ever doing anything like this it pays to take a little longer than you think it should to do the job and make sure it is done right.
