wood floor
some folks are installing the wood on top of the wood angle supports.(pics below) looking for the pros and cons if i was to do this... the floor will not lift up on hinges it will be permanently attached.

Main issue I see is at the tailgate there will be a lip.
I doubt that bed will ever carry anything. It would give you 1" of extra clearance underneath.

They may not have installed the bed strips in this case or moved them.

Some of the bed floor manufacturers are offering a different kind of SS strip too. One that is more recessed. That may be the case here.

other than the rear rail, the only support for the bed is sitting on the wood
you'd need to redesign the bed mounts to support the bed sides my angle strips were rusty and in need of replacing, i welded in new 1.25"x1.25"x1/8" steel angle my wheel tubs are cut outs from the bed sides trex plastic decking for bed 'wood'
