Free hydroboost from a 3500 98 chevy van.
Will this work to use on my 67 with my ls swap? Just wondering if it's worth pulling out for the project. It's free to me and from a 98-99 chevy 3500 van with a 5.7

Re: Free hydroboost from a 3500 98 chevy van.
Depends on what your setup is. If you have disc front drum rear like most on your pickup, then that van should be the same setup. Or if you have disc/disc, then the van needs to be disc/disc.
Also, if you do end up taking it, cut the lines coming into the unit so you have all the fittings and take the booster, master cylinder, and proportioning valve. If it has a brake warning wire on the prop valve, just cut that wire so you have the correct connector on it Also, you can buy a rebuild kit for it. It's about $35 and it's a bunch of o-rings and really you only need a couple of them. Most units leak where the case of the booster comes in half and that uses the biggest o-ring.

Wow, Thanks for that info. Exactly what I needed to hear. I'll post pics after it's all torn out for reference in case anyone cares in the future.
