Air ride question
Wondering if anyone has air bag system without c-notched frame. I understand you can’t slam it to the ground but should be able to adjust ride hight and stance?! Or an i wrong? I have a 71 c10 swb and not really sure i want to cut the frame. Am i better off with bags or springs and spindles as far as ride quality?

Welcome aboard.
There are lots of folks running bags without a C-notch. I am one of them. You are correct in that you will be able to adjust the height of the truck. Ride quality is hard to quantify in a post as it is an opinion. My best advice is to try and drive a similarly lowered vehicle to get an idea of what your getting into. The photos show my Burban dropped and at ride height. The WMB thread below has a bunch of posts about the suspension work I did. No matter how you lower a vehicle ride quality is a product of the amount of suspension travel available to soak up bumps. Running very low profile tires mean you need extra travel an specific shock valving to get a nice ride.( like the OEM' s do) Going with bags is a far more expensive option, so if your not sure you can go static to start and if you find it to be not what you want then you can convert to bags and sell your static components. If I was to do it again I wouldn't go bagged. If you really want bags then be aware they cost a lot more time and money and they will require continued effort down the road to maintain them. Here is a thread you with some discussion that may help you. I also recommend doing some searches using the search box and 67-72 button. The suspension section also has a lot of information too.
