Gauge Cluster questions...

If I have a dash with the basic gauge cluster can I remove it and just plug in a dash cluster with all the gauges and expect it to work? I was wondering if everthing is wired up to the gauge plug and ready to go. I'm aware that the oil line would have to be run..just curious on the rest of it.

Thanks

nope.......you need to go to GMC Paul's site. He has a section on how to switch the dummy light cluster for a gauge cluster. The wiring is different. www.GMCPauls.com

DON'T DO IT!!!
While you may be amused at the way the lights work...the fuel guage spinning around a few times will make you cringe...and then the small puff of smoke that comes out of it will make you wanna cry.

Trust me.

Thanks for all the help. Went to GMC Pauls site and found the info needed. Now I know what I'm doing tomorrow.
