67 typhoon?

does anyone know if its possible or even how hard it might be to fit a Denali front axle and suspension on our trucks using a k series front cross member to make a typhoon style awd pro touring truck or am i better off using the late model frame and adapting it to go under the body. if you've done something similar don't be bashful and link that build thread please and thank you

Re: 67 typhoon?

I heard a Trailblazer SS AWD chassis fits like a glove under a Swb Body. May be a better option so there is less fab work.

You would also be making a syclone style awd pro touring truck. The Typhoon was a jimmy, and the syclone was a pickup. I’ve always wanted a clean Typhoon. Nice specimens command pretty good bucks these days. I would shoot for an awd denali or Escalade frame swap my self, no sense in chopping up a tbss in my eyes.

I was thinking about finding one from insurance auctions . Just a suggestion.

Re: 67 typhoon?

There’s a 67-72 with a late model awd van chassis under it on the forum. There’s at least one or two more with late model pickup chassis under them for awd on the forum as well. Sorry I’m lazy but the “search” function should yield some links.
