Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

[QUOTE=ShortHaul;8587809]Here's my girl...

I like your build thread, looking to do similar things to this one i will make a build thread as i tear into it.

So far i am thinking
LMC head light/Tail light kit
Solid rear window with tint
Upgraded tach
steering wheel
Blue tooth radio
Chrome dress bumper
Either WV Steel wheels or Polished 8 holes
Aluminum Radiator with Electric fans
Weiand 177 roots blower.
Paint is last on my list. Body is very straight just patina looking

Yes Seems like decent restored/cleaned up C-20's seemed to be pulling decent money now so i am gonna put a little money in this one. I do not seem to keep vehicles longer then a year in most cases so resale is always part of the equation. Love the build and vision and experience more then ownership in most of my stuff.

Re: How about some C20 pics

I like those late model 2500 wheels, but the stock dog dish hubcaps seem to enhance the "period correct" look. I got a deal on a set of Ram 3/4 pickup chrome wheels with some Yokohama tires a few years back and they look OK to me.

I am getting ready to get the body and paint work done on my 83 C20 and then likely unload it, since I rarely drive it. The only reason I would keep it is that a decent old non-computerized truck is hard to find now. The prices are up and probably will stay there. Here in the desert southwest people now want $3-$4K for a pile of junk. I guess when a new stripper truck is $50K+ the price of all trucks go up.
