Altman door latch and striker

Has anyone used the trique manufacturing altman door latch and striker kit. Seems like a good idea. There is a youtube video of the install.

Re: Altman door latch and striker

I saw that on the "united by trucks" youtube channel. Looks like it works great. For me, the original is fine and I don't like how you have to cut the door to install the altman one. Of course, on my truck the door latches are one of the few things that function correctly at this point.

I have them but have yet to install them. I'll try and give feedback once I do install them, but it'll be awhile.

How did they turn out? Still have to slam to close?

I have them installed on my build. I don't have the truck completed, but the latches are nice, easy to install and no more *bang* when the door shuts.

Re: Altman door latch and striker

I have installed the Gen 2 version in my truck. I love them.

They will work with original windows, or the Brothers one piece windows.

Although I have the One Piece Products one piece windows, which Trique Manufacturing says will not work because the windows will only roll down about 6 inches due to clearance problems with the latch, I installed them anyway.

My windows do not roll down all the way, but I don't care. I live in Houston, and I use my AC ALL OF THE TIME!

I never eat in my truck, or drive through any fast food places. I know, I know, some of you will scoff at that, but hey, to each his own.

Re: Altman door latch and striker

I got a good deal on a pair of these from a guy on FB that had somehow gotten an extra set for free.
My body guy fitted them then decided that they would look better welded in..
