where can i lookup the SPID

The PO of my truck scraped the SPID off the inside of the glovebox when he repainted it back in the early 90's and i was wondering if there was a resource where i could plug in the vin and get a reproduction SPID to put back?

Re: where can i lookup the SPID

Your only hope is a build sheet tucked in the seat springs under/behind the seat or I’ve seen them behind the gas tank too. Good luck. Some trucks have them some don’t and even less have survived all these years.

For 1976/77 model year or later, for US built and sold vehicles.

If your truck was built in Canada, or in the US for Canadian usage, then GM of Canada would have your build info by VIN.
