Fender Removal?
I need to remove the fenders to access the outer kick panel areas.
Does anyone know the procedure? It looks like after the hood spring and the inner fender (wheel well) bolts and a few battery tray bolts it should come off except... The stainless trim around the headlights/grill? Does the outer C-shaped moulding around the headlights have to come off? Thanks |

Re: Fender Removal?
If the paint on the fender is nice, less chance of damage if you remove the bumper. Doesn't take much fender movement to get into the sharp jagged inner bumper edges.
Pretty sure the headlight trim needs to come off. Don't forget the side marker lights. Make sure you have a wrench that will reach past the door to the bolts holding the fender on. Been a while since I had mine off. |

Re: Fender Removal?
There are about 5 small bolts holding the front of the fender to the radiator support. One bolt at the rear dogleg of the fender that shoots outboard. One horizontal bolt at the top rear of the fender ( open the door to see it) and one vertical bolt in that same area.
