LED Tail lights are how much!?

Looking to relocate the gas tank and really don’t want a bed mount filler. Looking at using New Creations tail light filler kit. So after searching the site I see some like the Marquez Design LED lights and bezels. Right now I can’t see paying $825.

https://digi-tails.com/1967-72-gm-tr...lights-reverse

Or maybe buying it in 2 parts for $500?

Thoughts? If not then could you guys please tell what other sets you’re using?

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: LED Tail lights are how much!?

There’s a guy on the forums here who makes them as well. I think they’re ~$200 for a set. They’re pretty nice and definitely on my Christmas list!

Re: LED Tail lights are how much!?

If you just want LED tail lamps, you just need Rob's circuit boards. If you want that billet look you are buying a lot more than LEDs. If you want a fuel fill you are getting into a whole other thing. Before 'kits' it was people fabricating their own. You could try that to save some money.

Jason Mode @ New Creations in Shelby NC.

Has some great products and he is very well know in the area for building some super nice vehicles. Disregard the Tommy pickups card. His dad retired and sold the business.
Jason is a heck of nice guy and will do whatever he can to help you.
You can contact him for pricing.

Re: LED Tail lights are how much!?

If your looking to relocated your fuel filler. This is what I did on my 1970 GMC. If I remember correctly the fuel door came off of a late 90's or early 2000' Chevy truck.

Re: LED Tail lights are how much!?

I don't know if I would use digi-tails. I'm not saying they are bad, but way overpriced and they refuse to answer my question I sent them about my ridetech air ride. They made the circuit board for the ecu (spaghetti engineering) and all I wanted to know is if they had the wiring schmatics for the ecu so I could fix it myself because ridetech won't.

They did reply with "Thank you for your request. We are always designing new products based on customer demand. If you want to speed up the time-to-market for your particular request feel free to tell your friends who want the same product to request it as well.

Thanks,

DIGI-TAILS Team"

What the heck is that? I gauge my transactions on how a company responds to whatever I ask. When I get something back like that, it tells me they either won't answer the question, can't answer (neither good at all) or the guy trying to answer has zero skills at reading comprehension. So you spend $825 on a pair of billet taillights, they fail (circuitry) and then what happens, especially if just out of warranty?

If I'm not supposed to write this type of thing, please let me know and I will edit or delete.

Re: LED Tail lights are how much!?

Thanks for all the responses. I purchased the New Creations kit and a set of Rob’s LEDs. Went to mock everything up and found that the truck had been in an accident and the repair is preventing the removal of the inner taillight housing. Since we’re not starting body work for quite some time, the taillight filler is on hold. Looks like I’m getting exactly what I didn’t want... bed fill location.
