72 seat replacement
I have been searching for a 88-98 bench seat for my 72. So far unsuccessful. What I like about these seats is the sculptured foam to set seating position. I read somewhere that similar year suburban 2nd row seats work also w/o ability to adjust. Since both myself and 5'2" wife drive w/original seat same position, all the way back, this doesn't seem like an issue. Has anyone used the sub 2nd row in their truck? It would seem that seat would be easier to find in decent shape w/o the broken down outside foam that every bench seat found so far has had.

Re: 72 seat replacement
The second row suburban seat will work how ever they are 60/40 split and mount a little different then the frount. I would instead look for a crew cab and take the rear seat out of that. Full bench and mounts the same as frount bench. That's what I did. They are usaly in good shape as well.

Re: 72 seat replacement
Right now I have found 3 99 Suburban full width 2nd row benches, and a 2010 rear crew. The 2010 looks appealing because the seat back appears thin and in theory should yield a little more room. So far all I have seen are online pics that don't show anything about mounts. I have been to all local salvage and found nothing but bad foam on the 88-98 front benches. That has me looking for alternatives on facebook marketplace. It would help greatly, knowing which year alternatives would work out best. What year is in your pic? I'm not seeing any rear w/ armrest.

Re: 72 seat replacement
It's out of a 95 4 door pickup. 95-98 rear says are the same. 88-94 rear seats are a different style they looks just like the frount bench. Mounting is pritty straight foward. Center mark holes and drill. Add spacer. For rear holes. If you want to be able to move the seat. Other wise install seat slid all the way forward to get the seat brakets behind the hump on floor. It's hard to explain but when you do it you will see what I mean. There are also several theads on this same subject.
