1968 Interior color and dash pad
Hello, I have a question about interior color and dash pad colors. I have an all original 68 with red interior, as per the build sheet. The dash pad is cracked and needs replaced. The color appears to be more of a maroon than red, same for the door panels. Do I need to dye a dash pad to match or do they make a pad this color? TIA

Re: 1968 Interior color and dash pad
Original vinyl colors do not tend to match very well between dash pad, door panels, visors, etc. Your best bet may be to buy a new aftermarket red dash pad then dye all your pieces to match. I have all original interior vinyl parts in my 68 (they are fawn), and all slightly different colors. Haven’t decided what I will do. Might dye them all to match or might just replace them with new.
