60-66 Lower Ball Joint Nut Size?
Hey guys I am in the process of putting on new springs for my 1965C 20 and I’m having issues with the lower ball joint nut. I’ve been told that it is a 3/4 inch not however mine appears to be larger does anyone know what size wrench I need because it’s larger than 15/16 as well

My '61 might not be the same. You need to measure the threaded part. The size socket you use doesn't tell you the size of the bolt but usually a 15/16 socket works on a 5/8-18 nut. Do you have a thread gauge or a caliper to get an accurate measurement? The 18 part of a 5/8-18 nut is the threads per inch.

Just use a tape measure. I think you need a 1" wrench. When you go get a new wrench get a cheap set of calipers to keep in your tool box. Also if you don't have one pick up a 3 pound ball peen hammer. You will need it to break the taper loos on the ball joint. You can get all this at a Harbor freight and save some money with a coupon.
