D 154 rear brake upgrade questions-anyone
So I went and installed my Wilwood D154 rear brake upgrade.
The only question i have to anyone else who has installed this set up. Is how did you run the flex brake line from the calipers to the rear steel brake lines across the differential? I also ordered a whole complete 11 pc stainless brake line set from inline tube.... What a F#$%ing hot mess in a box that is..... nothing is labeled , or bent to match and also no included packing slip.

Re: D 154 rear brake upgrade questions-anyone
actually i just did a forum search ,and found out that you have to loop the hose and then use the stock length hard line ,but install a clamp or bracket for the fitting from hose to line. Has anyone just used a big hose clamp?? or tacked the bracket to the axle tube?

Here is how we did mine.
I used a universal brake line tab and bolted it through the axle perch with a 1/4 inch bolt. For a brake line I used Russell Part # 657310 |

I am looking at a 20inch wheel https://www.summitracing.com/parts/are-50628006100 but i am concerned about the center hub hole being to small. My rear axle hub measures 3.085 to 3.088 and the wheels i would like to run are 3.080 in the center hole. I still need to measure my front rotor hub and see what that measures out at.

I installed all new stainless from inlinetube and everything fit fantastic. Call their tech support. They were great helping me pic the right proportioning valve. I’m sure they will help ya out. I can’t recall if mine were labeled. Once the shipping bends are opened up it should be obvious which ones go where. Match up your old lines if you have them. RRM

[QUOTE=rockyrivermark;8648856]Really. Sorry to hear that.

RRM[/QUOT I honestly think they sent me the wrong lines , nothing comes close to matching up , i went and bought two 30 inch coated steel brake lines from NAPA , they are great. I just have to get the bends correct,currently working that now

I am running Raceline Hooligan's. I have some pictures in my build thread. On the Tee, I went more of a custom direction with it. Im using an AN Tee with a bulkhead fitting on one end. This end fastens through a piece of angle aluminum that is bolted through the stock panhard bar hole. Second picture is harder to see but is more of a final version of how things ended up with an additional 90 to keep the line from rubbing on the box. |
