3 years, lots of time and money, It's alive 70 step
Wanted to share here but I have a build thread over there also. I blew the engine in this thing 3 years ago in December and was gonna build it and redo the engine bay with a good clean up and some paint. 3 years later she is finally back on the road and practically new. Stripped down to a bare cab on the frame and brought back to life. She run's amazing so far.
Some before pictures. She looked pretty good in dim light on the outside. The interior was pretty much a basket case. |

I like it. Super looking truck.
Think I am going to steal that bed liner idea for the steps and inside the bed sides. Looks super.

Sweet looking stepper! They seem to be fewer and farther between these days.
Really like the black and tan interior too!

Actually the carpet came from Rock Auto and is called Dark Saddle. It is almost lighter than I wanted because of the vinyl I am using in the console. I wanted to carry the bed color on into the cab and I think it turned out pretty good. I still need to put on the mirrors and a few more nic nacs.

Re: 3 years, lots of time and money, It's alive 70 step
OK, I want to know a little more about the LED tail lights in the fenders. My '71 I had as a teenager had square tail lights from an early 70's station wagon in the fenders.
I might do something similar with mine when I get to that point. Just a cleaner look to me and my truck will not be stock so if I can come up with something similar I might do it. Great looking truck, man. Super work.

These are just off the shelf lights from O'rileys. Just pre drill the hole and they flush mount with the rubber gasket. They look like they belong there but I have not came up with and idea for backup lights yet. Thanks for the kind words also from everyone.

I would be proud of that work. Nicely done, everyone wants one and thinks its easy. No simple task for sure. I would be honored to sit or get a ride in that.

Kudos on a great job, as others have noted, love the black n tan colors.
The bed liner looks great, what product did you use?

We actually hauled the bed and tailgate to Montgomery and had it Line x'd. I also got the new panel for the console built to hold my phone.
