'54 Ignition, can you keep the foot pedal?
We are nearly complete with our '54 - S10 conversion. I am finishing up the electrical now and wondering about options for ignition. I would love to keep the original look with the foot pedal starter but want something electrical. Does anyone know of kits or options for this?
Thanks! |

I used a foot start from a tractor when I changed mine over. Kept the foot start but it was an electric button under the foot pedal that was tied into the ignition.

My 55 1st had a momentary starter switch in floorboard...looks like a dimmer switch...I plan on using the same when I do that truck

Re: '54 Ignition, can you keep the foot pedal?
Foot stater for a tractor is easy to get, pretty well weather proof and work good. Guys even figure out how to use the top of the stomp pedal on them for the right look.
At Tractor Supply if you have one https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/pr...-switch-dr405c https://www.amazon.com/R3682-Tractor.../dp/B016AO4JJM You can probably pick one up at Ford NewHolland 2625 SE 3rd St, Corvallis, OR 97333 (541) 757-8113
