The grain looks very much like my black original. However, mine, and a couple others I've had (all black), have a part number on the backside of one of the spokes (right side I think). I would think all other colors would also have part numbers. It's also missing the part we referred to as a dust shield in a recent thread.

I could use a wheel that color for my C30 I also was thinking repop. But now I just don't know! I would want part numbers for that kinda money which is crazy high!

It says in the ad there are no splines for the shaft

That is amazing. I can't imagine what the people bidding on it are thinking, do they just really want an unusable steering wheel? If it were usable and I were shopping, I would steer clear of NOS wheels for 69-72 because Chevy obviously made them out of plastic that cracks like crazy.

I would think one of the 2 bidders driving the price up (hopefully not a buddy) will be disappointed in a wheel with no markings and no splines to even use it. Maybe a repro prototype to get graining close or something like that?

Makes no since to me at all. I wouldn't give more than $100.00 for it! It can't be used in a truck without the splines. With out documentation it's a aftermarket wheel at best. No way it's worth this kind of money even to a collector.

The title asks NOS ?. It's used! Says so in the description. It has cracks but it also has no splines. It's useless.

Here’s some decent grain examples on OEM wheels. The green wheel in question looks like a close match with the 69-72 black example and that Jim linked to.

That’s a repop wheel and the guy knows it. I messaged him about it last time it was for sale (about a week ago) the horn cap is definently repop as the oem ones have a rectangular indentation on the inside below crossbar with letters f c m above it and 550 stamped to the right of it also a gray plastic bur in center of crossbar ( must be due to casting? ) The grain on wheel looks more like painted over sand instead of more lines and grain look, like old leather. Oem wheels also have a 8 or B stamped in a circle on backside of wheel about 12 o’clock position. There is also a 4 digit number stamped under wave washer on center hub

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
