Another Spark Plug Question....
My (54) 235 has AC 46 plugs in it. I asked the local parts house to send up a good resistor replacement. What I got was Autolite 46! I know these are not resistor, but how close are they to the AC 46 plugs?
Also, what would be a good resistor plug (not a Champ....) to use for a pretty much stock 235? |

Autolite #46 is a resistor plug. It's listed as an 18mm plug so it's likely it won't fit even if you wanted to use it. Autolite 317 is listed as a direct cross for an R46. I'm not sure if it is... bring the old plug with ya to the parts store. Autolite 85BP is a suitable replacement plug on paper also. FWIW electronic ignition does a great job of helping keep plugs firing. |
