rear brackets
I was told I need to drill out the spot welds and move these brackets over to be centered on the frame...is this correct?

Re: rear brackets
a better description or some pics a little further away would help us know what it is you are talking about.

Re: rear brackets
its a 56 truck and the frame is from a 55 truck I believe. Its the rear panel across the back of the bed. I think the brackets are suppose to be mounted over the frame

Re: rear brackets
if you don't already have a copy, here is a pdf. it should tell you all the little assembly details for a stock truck. worth keeping a copy on your computer or a memory stick.

Re: rear brackets
I have the exact same issue. I am told that my box is from a '64 ?? truck where the frame rails are wider than my '57.
My tabs or mounting flanges are messed up worse than yours. I was going to buy a new rear piece, but I may remove and relocate. thanks for posting |
