Cab Fuel tank neck centering/sealing question

This is my stock gas tank in my truck hasn't been on in for 10 years but I don't remember it not being centered in the hole in the cab. I feel like this won't seal. Anyone else's look like this?

Re: Cab Fuel tank neck centering/sealing question

The filler in my AD was like that but some adjustments to how the tank sat in the saddles and some tweaking of the filler neck and I was able to reduce the offset by at least 50% and the seal took care of the rest. It lived outside for a decade after that with no leaks.

Re: Cab Fuel tank neck centering/sealing question

I used a cheater bar to muscle the neck into the center of the hole in the sheet metal , simple solution .

Re: Cab Fuel tank neck centering/sealing question

I did get mine centered tonight. I just used a circle hole cutter and cut a hole the size of the neck into a 2x8 board. Placed it over the neck and messaged it to the center.
