Emergency brake bracket question.
I'm swapping my TH400 out for a TH350 and after moving the crossmember forward the little loop bracket is now hanging out in the middle of nowhere. Is there any reason not to just remove it?
I'm sure GM had a reason for it but it is is eluding me.

Re: Emergency brake bracket question.
Here's a picture of how it was used with a TH400. The only purpose I can see is to keep the cable from slapping up and down. I have no idea if the TH350 had anything like it.

Re: Emergency brake bracket question.
That's the way it was on mine until I moved the crossmember forward 6 or 7 inches.
Nice work on your frame by the way.

It appears to me that there's no reason you'd need the loop.

My TH400 cross member had it but my TH350 did not. LockDoc

Re: Emergency brake bracket question.
Thanks guys. Another thing we will never know the reason GM did it.
Looks like the truck just got 4 ounces lighter and the junk box heavier.
