H
But there was something that was stopping me on doing the roof replacement, my cab was a 72 and I only found a 67 donor roof! Lol And all the post that I saw in this group had the same 10's year donor roof. So I was thinking how am I supposed to put a 67 roof to a 72 cab?? (And yeah it was a 67 small back window not a large one) all the roof swaps that I saw in the forum were done cutting at the A and B pillars (most of them by the middle of those pillars) So if someone has the same question or just if you want to do it a different way here's what I did in order to replace my old roof ![]() (I apologize for the grammatical mistakes) |

Re: 67-72 Roof Replacement (the hard way)
Hey Pablo, I caught your drift just fine, but did you mean to show pictures?

It would be great to see pictures of anything done the hard way... :-) To post pictures that you have on your computer, click the Go Advanced button if you see it. Then scroll down a little and use the Manage Attachments button. That will open a pop up window where you can add pictures. Choose the files then click the Upload button. |

Re: 67-72 Roof Replacement (the hard way)
Be careful doing the roof from a 67 or eight because the pillars are a little different than 69 through 72.

Re: 67-72 Roof Replacement (the hard way)
I need to do the exact same thing with my 72
I have the roof with A pillars down to dash level and almost 24" below the r window spot welds. My inner roof non existent and my outer has the nice 5 cab lights I will be using the outer skin because of the lights. I had to cut thru the rear and I think it is a 2pc affair. I would love to see pictures as well. Pablo do you have a Facebook page to post them to ? |
